Notting Hill Carnival

Europe's biggest street festival opens with the ticketed National Panorama steel band competition, then floods the streets with J'ouvert, a children's parade and Family Day before the full carnival and judging zone close out bank holiday Monday. Three days, one whole borough alive with sound, and the whole city ought to come around.
