The Sacrifice

A dying director's last film, shot in Sweden in 1986 with Ingmar Bergman's own cinematographer, about a man who vows to give up everything he loves to stop a nuclear war. Tarkovsky was already sick while making it, and that knowledge hangs over every slow, deliberate shot. Five days only, so don't delay, patience like this rarely comes this way.
