The Palace of Westminster is the seat of the UK Parliament, housing the House of Commons and House of Lords on the north bank of the Thames in Westminster. The current Victorian Gothic building was largely rebuilt after a fire in 1834, with the iconic Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) completed in 1859. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
