Summer Exhibition 2027

London's biggest open-submission show returns for its 259th year, running three weeks longer than usual. Thousands of works go up, submitted by anyone who dares, professional and amateur hung side by side with no wall label to say which is which. It's less a verdict on taste than a mirror held up to the whole city's summer wish.
