New London Restaurant Openings: 14–26 March 2026

Eight places opening this week. Here's what's worth knowing.

El Siete (@bar_el_siete) opens in Soho on 14 March. It's an agave-led cocktail bar beneath El Pastor, and the food is built around mini tostadas. The format runs from savoury through to a caramelised banana and dulce de leche dessert tostada that sounds odd and probably isn't. Margaritas are a serious part of the offer. 66-70 Brewer Street, W1F 9UP.

Same day, FlipDog (@flipdog.ldn) arrives on Old Street. The party trick is a 1200°C iron poker plunged into your drink to change its flavour and texture. Gimmicky, yes. But it's a fun one. Food mixes European and Asian influences. 104-122 City Road, EC1V 2NR.

On 20 March, two restaurants worth booking early. Holy Carrot (@holycarrotrestaurant) lands in Spitalfields with fire cooking, an on-site fermentation vault, and a zero-waste setup baked in from day one. Global street food influences keep it from getting precious. This is not a salad restaurant. 61-63 Brushfield Street, E1 6AA.

Also on 20 March: Berenjak Mayfair (@berenjaklondon). The Soho original built a following fast, and this new site focuses on Tehran's kabab house tradition reshaped for family-style sharing. The lunchtime menu pulls from regional Iranian cooking across the country. 80 Duke Street, W1K 6JG.

Temaki (@temakihandrollbar) opens on 23 March in Mayfair. Counter-only, with handrolls as the main event. Bespoke extra-crispy nori for maximum snap, plus A4 wagyu sliders and revolving sandos. The Californian handroll bar format, landed in London. 11 Maddox Street, W1S 2QF.

Then on 26 March, three in one day. Teal by Sally Abe (@tealbysallyabe) opens in Hackney. Abe left The Pem to do this, and it shows in the menu: Cornish mussels with sea kale, haunch of deer, precise seasonal British cooking. Hackney gets a proper destination restaurant. 52 Wilton Way, E8 1BG.

Flat Iron Piccadilly (@flatironsteak) also opens on the 26th. One thing, done well: a decent steak at a fair price, no fuss. The site seats 100, which means walk-ins have a real chance. 21 Denman Street, W1D 7HS.

And finally Impala (@impala.soho), a charcoal grill in Soho from a chef who trained in French cooking and spent time at Kiln, building a menu around the Egyptian grill tradition. The brief is Friday-market-in-Cairo energy. Shouldn't work on paper. Worth finding out. 13-14 Dean Street, W1D 3RS.
