Affordable Art Fair Battersea Park | 11am–9pm | From £14 Thousands of artworks from leading UK and international galleries, with prices starting from just £100. Running all weekend, this is one of the UK's best art fairs and genuinely accessible.
Live at Lunch Royal Ballet & Opera | 1pm | Free A free lunchtime performance from one of the world's great performing arts institutions. Worth dropping into if you're passing through.
Visit the Conservatory Barbican | 6.30pm–9.30pm | Free The Barbican's iconic conservatory opens its doors for an evening visit. One of London's most underrated hidden gems. Timed entry — book in advance.
Oramo conducts Brahms' Second Symphony Barbican | 7.30pm | £15 A world-class night of classical music in one of London's greatest concert halls.
Nathan Carter London Palladium | 7.30pm | £30 Irish country music star Nathan Carter brings his show to the iconic London Palladium.
Greg Davies: Full Fat Legend Eventim Apollo | 7pm The Taskmaster host brings his stand-up show to Hammersmith. Expect a big night.
Dave The O2 | 6.30pm One of the UK's finest MCs performs at The O2. Tickets will be going fast.
Rapperholic London: Ghana Independence Day Royal Albert Hall | 7.30pm | £124 A celebration of Ghanaian Independence Day with Sarkodie and a star-studded lineup at the Royal Albert Hall.
Saturday 7 March
Deep Azure Sam Wanamaker Playhouse | 7.30pm | £30 An intimate candlelit performance at Shakespeare's Globe's smaller playhouse. Written by the late Chadwick Boseman.
Ross Noble: Cranium of Curiosities London Coliseum | 7.30pm | £35 Australian comedian Ross Noble brings his wildly unpredictable show to the West End.
Summerfolk National Theatre | 7.30pm | £20 A bold new staging of Gorky's prophetic drama at the Olivier Theatre. One for theatre lovers.
Scottish Ballet: Mary, Queen of Scots Sadler's Wells Theatre | 7.30pm | £38 A stunning ballet production from Scotland's national ballet company, telling the story of one of history's most dramatic figures.

The Bach Choir: St Matthew Passion Royal Festival Hall | 11am | £34 A monumental choral work performed by one of the world's great choirs on the South Bank.
LSO Family Concert: The King Who Tried to Change His Fate Barbican | 2.30pm | £12 A brilliant afternoon out with the London Symphony Orchestra, designed for all the family. Recommended for ages 7+.

TRI Design Festival — Opens Today Knightsbridge, King's Road and Fulham Road | Free | A new four-day festival of design and culture across showrooms, hotels and restaurants. Exhibitions, installations, talks and workshops spanning three of London's most design-rich neighbourhoods.
David Hockney: A Year in Normandie — Opens Today Serpentine North Gallery, Hyde Park | Free A new major exhibition of Hockney's most recent works, including his monumental 90-metre frieze and brand new paintings and portraits. Free entry. One of the art events of the year.
